The National Academy for Development Administration (NADA) invites submissions for its 1st Development Dialogue, to be held in the mid-February 2025. This flagship event aims to explore innovative approaches, policies, and practices to accelerate inclusive development through effective development administration and governance. This dialogue will bring together policymakers, researchers, development practitioners, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge, views and solutions for building a prosperous Bangladesh.
Background
Bangladesh has achieved remarkable progress in socio-economic development over the past decades, yet challenges remain in ensuring equitable growth, sustainable development, and efficient and public service delivery. Effective development administration and good governance are critical to addressing these challenges while fostering innovation and resilience in the face of future uncertainties. This Development Dialogue provides a platform to discuss practical strategies, share knowledge, and drive impactful reforms.

Submission Guidelines
- Abstracts: Authors are invited to submit an abstract (maximum 300 words) that outlines the research objectives, methodology, key findings, and relevance to the conference theme.
- Full Papers: Selected abstracts will be invited for submission of full papers (up to 6,000 words, including references) by the specified deadline.
- Format: Submissions should follow APA citation style and be submitted in Word or PDF format.
- Eligibility: Submissions are welcome from academics, policymakers, practitioners, and development partners. Collaborative papers are encouraged.
Selection Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on in the following criteria:
- Relevance to the Theme: Alignment with the conference theme and subthemes.
- Originality and Innovation: Contribution of new ideas, perspectives, or solutions to development administration and governance.
- Rigor and Methodology: Clarity, depth, and appropriateness of research methodology.
- Policy Implications: Practical relevance and potential impact on public policy or administrative practices.
- Clarity and Coherence: Logical structure and readability of the abstract or paper.
Authors of selected papers will be notified and invited to present their work during the Development Dialogue.
Invitation to Authors and Accommodation
Selected authors will receive an official invitation from NADA to attend the Development Dialogue. To ensure their full participation, NADA will provide:
- Complimentary accommodation for the duration of the event.
- Meals and transportation between the venue and accommodation.
- Networking opportunities with policymakers, development partners, and other key stakeholders.

Publication Opportunity
Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the conference proceedings. Selected papers may also be featured in a special issue of the NADA Development Review Journal.
